On Tuesday March 1st, 2011 funds will become available for the Welcome Home Program. This program provides a $5,000 grant to any home buyer that meets the income requirements. The Buyer cannot currently own any real estate, but does not have to be a first time home buyer. Requirements; 1. Max income is based off of 80% of Jefferson County median income and family size. 2. Grant is forgiven after the Buyer has lived in the home for 5 years. 3. Accepted contract on a home must be presented in order to reserve the funds. 4. Buyer must have $500 invested into the purchase. This can be in the form of paying for a home inspection etc. $300 of the $500 can be in the form of a gift from a family member. 5. Total available funds for the program is 7.1 million. Reservations for these funds will be accepted until the funds are exhausted or the deadline of Dec 1st, 2011 is reached. We're launching this blog, refining our current team site, integrating more with our search site and bringing it all together with our social media. The goal is to create a community of fans, customers, friends and prospective customers whose goal is educating themselves on Louisville homes and Louisville Real Estate. Along the way we'll have guest posts from area experts on staging, mortgages, insurance, photography, custom building, short sales, pest control, home inspections, home warranties, home closings, and much more.
Our team will also be posting updates about areas of Greater Louisville where they grew up, live now or just the places they love to buy and sell homes. Also, we'll be educating buyers and sellers on trends and giving updates from the front lines. The Miles team averages around a 100 home transactions per year, so we feel like we have a good pulse on the local market. We'll be unable to resist an occasional shameless plug for our services.
